Protean Consulting is a glocal consulting firm that supports leaders in social enterprises, governmental and non-governmental institutions as well as development agencies in finding solutions to their most significant challenges and identifying opportunities for change through evaluation, capacity development, research, and data analytics. Harnessing the strength of meaningful collaboration with clients and other partners that leads to multiple perspectives in problem solving is the cornerstone of our success.

Our approach

We believe that good intention is not enough to drive change. Sustainable change is achievable when all concerned stakeholders collaborate deeply to develop realistic solutions to complex problems, and implement them jointly using adaptive results-based management. In a world of pre-conceived solutions that try to find problems to solve, thorough understanding of a problem is the first step to finding contextualized and holistic solutions that will likely work. As such, evaluative thinking, thinking in systems, as well as culturally responsive and reflective practices are essential to get to the root cause of a problem and to avoid designing incomplete interventions.
